1953-77 Art school

1953

Born in Somerset.

1964-71

Attended Sexey's School in Bruton.

Taught by artist Anthony Watkins ARCA

1971-2

Art Foundation course at Somerset College of Art in Taunton.

Tutors included Ian Breakwell and Rose Finn-Kelcey.

1972-5

Studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College of Art in South London.

Tutors included Cas Cohen, Tom Freeth, Victor Kuell, David Spiller and Richard Wentworth.

Commendation at Stowells of Chelsea painting competition and exhibition for "On the Common".

Factory diary and reconstruction.

Awarded First Class Honours degree.

1975-7

Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art with bursary from University College London and support from the Bence-Pritchard Bequest.

Tutors included Stuart Brisley, Noel Forster, Tim Head and Malcolm Hughes.

Awarded Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art.

1977

Awarded British Council Scholarship to continue studies at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in Poland.
